10 Green New Years Resolutions for '09

As we’re quickly approaching that infamous Times Square ball falling, it’s time to think ahead and make New Years resolutions. Debating what you should do to be greener in the New Year?

Here’s 10 ideas to party like it’s 2009:

• Use less paper
• Plant a tree
• Stop shopping with plastic bags
• Shop wisely – some greener clothes or bags?
• Eat more organic foods
• Stop using bottled water – Use reusable stainless steel instead
• Travel more (& offset your carbon footprint)
• Recycle more – Even products that are more ‘difficult’ to do so
• Reduce your environmental impact
• New Years cleaning – Recycle your Christmas tree!

Want a simpler resolution?  This quote may help: “How to be green? Many people have asked us this important question. It’s really simple and requires no expert knowledge or complex skills. Here’s the answer: Consume less. Share more. Enjoy life.” (Penny Kemp & Derek Wall)
