Kudos to the folks at Larsen & Landis Structural Engineers for recently taking a hot, sweaty day out of the office to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.

Happy Monday! Today's #ThisWeekI guest(s) couldn't decide who wanted to participate the most, so we instead focus on their local nonprofit as a whole instead. The Humane League is a farm animal welfare organization that advocates for reducing meat consumption for the benefits to individual health, the animals, and the environment. The Litterati sounds like a super secret society out to change the world. (Dan Brown fanatics, anyone?) And it kind of is. It is a secret, though it tries hard not to be and yearns to change the world (but, just not in a evil sort of way). Founded by Jeff Kirschner , Litterati is a website that encourages people to photograph and pick up litter.

Every summer, I tell myself that I’ll use free time to start exercising. This summer was no exception. I even went the extra step and bought a gym membership to keep the promise to myself. I proudly stuck with it every other day for a month, but then I lost motivation and never went again. So why is it such a hard time to commit to the gym regularly? Personally, I get bored using the same machines at the same place every day! Instead, I hunted for fun ways to exercise in Philly to get back in the swing of things for the fall. Here are 8 fun & unique Philly exercises for beginners to experts:

Are you one of those people who always thinks that summer is too short? Like it or not, summer must end. Don’t fret: outdoor fun is possible all year round. Fall is the time of leaf piles, camping, hiking, football and kickball. Even as the temperature drops, it’s easy to overextend your sun exposure. But we’ll walk you through how to protect yourself – from the sun and dangerous chemicals, too.

Since opening in 2005, Juju Salon & Organics is the place to go for organic treatments in Philly. Owner Juliene Ebner wanted to help others by "doing business with cruelty-free, charitable manufacturers who are responsible to our communities and to our planet." Let's get to know Juliene a little better:

In our family, it was infamous. Before my birth, my rebellious brothers decided to smash a bucket full of tomatoes onto the driveway. One by one, my Dad's summer labor, pride and joy, were smashed onto a slab of asphalt. Every. Single. Ripe. Tomato. Find out about wasting tomatoes and water in a charity challenge, after the jump.

It's another Monday, which means either we have to kick up the caffeine or inspiration (or both!) for this edition of #ThisWeekI. This week's column features Michelle Feldman, director of Keep Philadelphia Beautiful. Although she may be small in stature, this gal has got a LOT of ideas, enthusiasm and positive energy. Seriously, how cute is this photo (even when she's getting dirty to cleanup) she submitted? Let's meet Michelle.

If you’re anything like me, then you’ve heard quite a lot about fair trade and how super important it is. However, before hunting for fair trade retailers, I decided to research what it really meant and where to find fair trade, which is great timing for Where Can I Wednesday! Here’s my FAQs that (hopefully) helps you as much as it helped me! Fair Trade 101
