Treecycling 2016: Where to Recycle Your Christmas Tree

It’s that time of the year: to take down the decorations and recycle your Christmas Tree!

Here’s a list of locations where you can treecycle – thus reducing space in landfills and giving your tree a new life.

Where to Recycle Your Christmas Tree in Philly 2016

Need to get rid of your tree ASAP? The Streets Department Sanitation Convenience Centers accept trees Monday through Saturdays, 8 AM – 6 PM. They’re slightly further out of the way from Center City but have flexible hours.

  • 5100 Grays Ave.
  • 2601 West Glenwood Avenue
  • 3033 South 63rd Street
  • Domino Lane and Umbria Street

Take your tree to a neighborhood near you on upcoming Saturdays.

Suggested donations: $5/tree; $3/wreath

The City of Philadelphia also has a free drop-off programs 2 Saturdays this year: Saturday, January 9, 2016 and January 16, 2016. You must drop off your tree from 9 am – 3 pm.
