Philadelphia's City Chase This Saturday

When was the last time you set aside a few hours to run around Philadelphia? (and I’m not talking about bar hopping…)

You can still sign up for City Chase this Saturday May 16th.  Join over 750 Philadelphians to compete in as Philly turns into a obstacle course/scavenger hunt/adult playground.

City Chase is an urban adventure that requires participants to exhibit teamwork, resourcefulness, determination and the ability to make decisions on the fly as they search for ChasePoints scattered in unknown locations throughout the city. Proceeds go to charities including Philly’s Back on My Feet.

The event starts in Love Park as teams of two receive a clue sheet detailing a variety of physical, intellectual and humorous challenges, designed to push comfort zones. The challenges test the  mind, body and spirit.

To conquer this 4-6 hour urban event, teams will run, walk, crawl, and use the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) transit system to navigate their way throughout the city – No cabs or driving is allowed.  Participants can also call family and friends for help, access the Internet, or employ the assistance of total strangers.

The first team to complete the required ChasePoints and cross the finish line WINS and will advance to our North American Championship in Quebec City, Quebec. Pretty cool, right?

Team Check-in 7:30 to 9:15am
Pre-event Warm-up 9:15am to 9:30
Opening Speech 9:30 to 10:00am
The Chase begins! 10:00am
Winners (Anticipated) 12:45pm-1:15pm
Course Closes 4:00pm
Awards Ceremony 4:30pm

City Chase is the ultimate way to explore Philadelphia while competing against other locals for major bragging rights.
