You HAD to have heard the news by now, but Philly’s been named the FIRST ever world heritage city in the US!! Big Effing deal, y’all.

In celebration, we’re sharing the best events in which to enjoy our city, as we do every week:

Week Events November 9 – 12, 2015:

RAIR: 2015 Silent Auction + Fundraiser: Join our amazing friends at RAIR for their second annual silent auction + fundraiser and to support an organization that combines sustainability and art. Plus, drinks & light fare! Wednesday, November 11th from 7 to 10 PM; 1400 North American Street , Philadelphia, PA 19122,  start at $35. Register online. 

I Woke Up Like This. Join Ticketleap starting at 7 AM on Thursday (that’s not a typo…)  for a dance party to kick off your work day. Thursday, November 11th from 7 – 9 AM,1712 Walnut St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103, All the deets.

FAMILY FORUM: A CONVERSATION ABOUT PARENTING TODAY: Designed to be a series of free, educational evenings, the Family Forum will feature information on a wide range of topics for parents and caregivers of young children. Weekend Events November 13 – 15, 2015:

LOVE YOUR PARK FALL SERVICE DAY: Join your neighborhoods and new best friend in this annual Fall Cleanup day! There’s over 60 parks to choose from to volunteer, so no excuses y’all. Saturday, November 14th, Find your park and register to volunteer here. 

Yoga at The Horticultural Center: Join the Fairmount Park Conservancy’s with an all-levels yoga class surrounded by tropical plants and greenery led by local teacher Emile Sorger from Amrita Yoga. Sunday, November 15th at 1 PM; $10, register.

Noshhh: Holiday Craft Food & Drink Vendor Showcase: A local craft food and drink vendor showcase. Sample hand-crafted cocktails, beer, coffee and food from the newest Philadelphia businesses that everybody needs to know about. A few of our favs include friends at the Beese Knees & United by Blue. Friday, November 13th at 7 PM; The Maas Building & 5th Side; More details. 

JOURNAL MAKING & LEAF IMPRINTING: Join the Schuylkill Center as we explore the changes from fall to winter and collect the last remaining signs of nature before they become buried in snow.
