PA Conference for Women: Who to Watch

PA Conference for Women 2014It’s official: The PA Conference for Women is sold out.

If you’re lucky enough to have snagged a ticket, get psyched for a lineup of power women including Jill Abramson, Diane Keaton, and Robin Roberts. This day-long conference based in our city has loads of programming about career development, personal finance, entrepreneurship, social media and way more. Plus, what’s better than being inspired for a day and reengage in the community?

If you’re sitting back for this one, don’t worry. Good news: I’ll be live-tweeting throughout the day from @greenphillyblog about sustainability fun facts that may pop up from Candy Chang, co-founder of Neighborland.com to improve public spaces. Any women-power and career advice will pop up from my personal Twitter, @juliehancher.

What other socially conscious speakers should you look out for?

Top Picks for Socially Conscious Speakers at PA Conference for Women:

  • Maria Allison: Friend of GPB & co-founder of Forsei Consulting helps small businesses become B-corps, aka have major green street cred. Bright and soon-to-be grad from Drexel LeBow, we can’t wait to see what she has to share.
  • Colleen Kelly Howard is director for Girls on the Run Philadelphia, which helps young girls with life skills & physical fitness. We know health is an essential part of our self-sustainability.
  • Jessica Craft founded Rock the the Future, which gives free music programming to Philly youth – crucial at a time the arts budgets get cut constantly with the state of Philly schools.
  • Jenny Bowen founded Half the Sky, making children’s lives better across the globe.

Readers, tell us in the comments: Who can’t you miss at this year’s event?
