Green Allies Conference 2016
by Christopher Hickman, Franklin & Marshall College
This year, the 2016 GreenAllies Conference is back and better than ever! By partnering with Franklin & Marshall’s Diplomatic Congress, this event will feature more speakers, more networking opportunities, and more chances to help your college environmental group grow.
The 2016 GreenAllies Conference will provide the opportunity for participants to hear from inspirational speakers on topics like environmental careers, transforming ideas into campus action and addressing waste issues on campus. The new addition of an “unconference lunch” will allow students to network with environmental groups, non-profits and speakers from around the United States.
Speakers include Fritz Schroeder from the Lancaster Conservancy, Alyssa Doll from Reliance Environmental Inc., Justinian Innit from Evolved Productions, and the highly anticipated return of David Radcliffe from New Community Project. Twelve workshops will be held in three separate sections and include many non-profits such as The Common Wheel, The Humane League, and The Wohlsen Center.
“The 2015 GreenAllies Conference was a great experience. I left feeling empowered and inspired.”
Just take it from a 2015 Conference attendee echoed the electric and inspiring atmosphere of a Conference that attracted over 120 students from 20 different colleges.
