Impending SEPTA service cuts will impact Philly students. Philly students in grades 7 through 12 who live at least 1.5 miles from school are expected to ride SEPTA and are not permitted to ride yellow school buses, reports Rebecca Redelmeier from Chalkbeat. Spotted lanternflies hurt Pennsylvania’s wine industry. Pennsylvania’s wine industry produces over $7 billion for the U.S. economy, but is under threat from a small creature. Spotted lanternflies are an invasive species that are ransacking much of the Northeastern United States and can be found in droves throughout Philadelphia.
