Green Philly’s 2022 recap
Another year is in the books. Here’s what we did.
As we wrap up 2022, we’re reflecting on the year that was. After a two-year hiatus, we brought back in-person events, our signature event, SustainPHL and welcomed two team members on board.
Here are our 2022 highlights:
Events
- We hosted 6 events, including three in-person(!) with local sustainability experts
- Hundreds of you subscribed to our weekly newsletter
- Thousands of you are following us on social media
- ? SustainPHL made a comeback in person at the @Acadnatsci!
Projects & People
- We kicked off year three of our Watershed reporting due to continued funding from the William Penn Foundation.
- In 2021, we were chosen for the LION-Meta Revenue Growth Fellowship and funding. As a part of this fellowship, we welcomed Harrison Mace, Director of Business Development onto our team in February.
- Green Philly was awarded the “Every Voice, Every Vote” Lenfest Grant to cover electoral issues in 2023.
- Gurpreet Talwar joined as marketing manager in June.
- We worked with over 10 freelancers with diverse voices throughout the year.
In addition to our exciting progress, we continued to grow our weekly email list and social media following.
