Friday Quickie: Take an Inventory

Ever wonder what you can recycle next?

disposible paper and plastic household products like napkins, paper towels and pet foodAs we’ve mentioned before, “going green” is rarely an overnight process.  Feel stuck in your progress?  Go around the house and take inventory of every kind of paper and plastic you use – paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, napkins, notepads, cuttery, etc.  Start thinking of sustainable alternatives to disposable products.  Tip: Make sure to use up what you have and recycle – it’s never good to let any item go to waste.  Next time you need to replace the items, look for sustainable & recycled alternatives.  For example: use cloth napkins & towels instead of paper. Try using quality glass tupperware instead of flimsy plastic varieties.

Remember, it’s a household effort.  Spread the word to your co-habitants!

Readers, what can you change that you’re not currently doing?  I vow to start cleaning with cloths instead of paper towels every time (not just on occasion…)
