Another reason to love Fox's 24 & Jack Bauer

Monday morning rolls around and we’re all grumbling as we get back to the grind. But I have one good reason to get excited about Mondays… My 9 PM dates with Jack Bauer.

If you’re a 24 fan like me – you’ll be glad to hear that Fox’s Monday night drama – 24 recently went carbon neutral!

Fox’s consultants have taken steps which include:  measuring 24’s carbon-dioxide output, installing motion detectors in bathrooms and kitchens for lighting, distributing electronic scripts, recycling and purchasing wind & solar power! Last week, a commercial aired with Kiefer Sutherland urging viewers to do their part for the climate change campaign (& visit Fox’s website for ideas.) We can look forward to seeing Chloe, Tony & President Taylor make more eco-statements throughout the season.

Executive Producer Howard Gordon pointed out 24 is possibly the worst TV offender of pollution (considering all of the car crashes and special effects) so they wanted to start green initiatives in Hollywood – encouraging other shows to follow suite.

Since 24 is taking admirable eco-conscious steps it’s one show that can be moved out the ‘guilty pleasure’ category!
