VS. GOLIATH: Appalachia

Join Extinction Rebellion Philadelphia and Physicians for Social Responsibility Pennsylvania for a special screening of the documentary VS. GOLIATH: Appalachia, part of the award-winning @vsgoliath series, on June 16. An army veteran enlists in the battle against a massive gas pipeline that cuts through his community in the mountains of Appalachia, joining with neighbors near and far in a showdown against a shadowy corporation and some of the nation’s most powerful politicians. Learn how community members from West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina, including farmers, veterans and Indigenous leaders came together to resist. Shortly after this screening, XR Philly will follow-up this event with an invitation to join an open discussion that explores the implications revealed from this film, in hopes to expand upon the movement to halt ecocide.
