Join TTF Watershed Partnership and The Academy of Natural Sciences to learn about the new Philadelphia Marine Debris Action Coalition (PMAC)—a NOAA and Pennsylvania Sea Grant–funded initiative spanning six watersheds across the Greater Philadelphia region. TTF is proud to serve as one of the coalition’s partners, helping engage local residents in hands-on microplastics research and education.

During this presentation, you will:
? Learn what microplastics are and where they show up in our waterways and natural areas
? Hear about the coalition’s goals to better understand how plastic pollution moves through our aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems
? Explore opportunities to get involved—from litter cleanups to sampling days and community science projects
? Bring your questions about microplastics, pollution, and local environmental impacts
Together, we can better understand the threats facing our creeks and take action to protect the health of the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed.
