Where to Donate Your Car in Philadelphia… WCI Wednesday

Electric Car charging station NJHave you recently gone carless? Or perhaps you’re trading your previously loved four-wheels for two?

Regardless, there’s a few local organizations who can benefit from donating your car. We tackle this topic in this week’s Where Can I Wednesday column.

Where to Donate your Car in Philadelphia:

  • Wheels For Wishes is a local car donation program benefiting Make-A-Wish® Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley. They accept and recycle unwanted cars, trucks, motorcycles, SUVs, RVs, or even boats, turning them into a wish for a special, local child. Worried about dropping your car off? They’ll pick them up or tow them, free of charge – whether the engine will turn on or not. To find out more info or donate, visit their website or call at 1-855-344-9474.
  • WXPN: Support local music and donate your car for a tax deduction. Their website features a cute little video explaining how it works, so I don’t have to waste more words here.
  • WHYY more your jam? They accept vehicle donations, too!
  • Cars for Breast Cancer accept car donations to further breast cancer research, help patients and their families.
  • Philly Aids Thrift accepts car donations. Seriously, what do you NOT accept Philly Aids Thrift? (Although they provide that list on their website..)
