Recycle Battery Chargers? WCI Weds Commences
Starting now, I decided to implement a new column on Green Philly Blog called “Where Can I (Recycle That) Wednesdays?!? (in Philly.)” (I considered How the F*@! but realized we should keep this somewhat family friendly.)
Lately, I’ve gone through a cleaning frenzy in my apartment trying to get rid of crap. But as I was going through my ultimate cleanse, I realized a lot of items aren’t as easy to find a new home for – especially when avoiding the garbage.
Avoid the landfill with our new column. Need to figure out how to recycle something? Send us an email at greenphillyblog@gmail.com. We’ll research it for you and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll even be mentioned in our column!
First up: a broken Canon camera battery charger:
FYI: Many Philly companies DO recycle batteries, but most do NOT accept chargers.
Don’t throw your old chargers in the landfill yet! Luckily eForce Compliance is coming to my rescue on Saturday’s “recycle anything with a plug” on Saturday at Whole Foods.
Missing the Saturday event? eForce Compliance has many events and a drop-off center (3114 Grays Ferry Avenue) from M-F, 8-4!
