How long have you been reading Green Philly? 2+ years
What’s your Fun Fact? I planned my wedding in less than 4 months.
How did you become interested in sustainability?
I’ve always been passionate about recycling and reducing waste, but over the last 5 years I became vegan and realized there are better and more ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
What is One thing that you think Philadelphia should do to become a more sustainable city?
There should be higher energy standards for residential building.
How do you bring sustainability and environmental awareness into your daily routine or the people around you?
I try to lead by example. You never know who’s watching and I aim to present myself as someone that is conscious of what they are buying and consuming. Simple things like bringing my own water bottle or cloth bags while shopping (not just grocery shopping!) and then I also utilize social media to share tips and tricks via my Facebook and Instagram pages
What’s one recommendation you’d make to other readers to live a more sustainable lifestyle?
Think before you buy anything! How long will it last? Is it a necessity? What is it made of?
Why do you attend Green Philly events?
I love learning more and meeting likeminded professionals that are making a difference.
