PHS Pop Up Garden 2014 Returns to South Street

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Pop Up Garden returns to Philly on July 8th at 5:30 PM.
The annual PHS Pop Up Garden transforms a vacant lot into a local summer destination. will experience trees transplanted from the 2014 Philadelphia Flower Show, hammocks, palm trees, lights, acoustic performances and special events throughout the summer.
Kick back with friends, sample local food & drinks and enjoy the summertime weather in this beautiful setting.
2014 PHS Pop Up Garden Details
- What: Enjoy beer, cocktail, food trucks & dishes from the Jamaican Jerk Hut. The Pop Up Garden gives you an opportunity to catch up with friends while outside.
- Where: 1438-46 South Street, Philadelphia
- When: July 8th – early Fall. Pop Up Garden will open Monday-Friday at 11 AM; Saturday at 2 PM & Sundays at noon.
- Food hours: Mon-Thurs 5-10 PM; Friday 5 PM – Midnight; Saturdays 2 PM – Midnight; Sundays Noon – 10 PM.
2014 Pop Up Garden Special Events:
- Tuesday, July 8, 5:00 pm: Pop Up Garden Grand Opening.
- Thursday, July 10, 6:00 pm: PHS Fun Run with Unite Fitness
- Friday, July 11, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Visit Philly Beer Garden Series at the PHS Pop Up Garden
Proceeds from the Pop Up Garden support the PHS City Harvest program, helping community gardeners grow healthy food for over 1200 in-need families weekly. Show your support by buying a $1 (or more) “I ? PHS Pop Up” button.
Opening day will include remarks from PHS President Drew Becher, Philadelphia’s office of Arts Chief Cultural Director Helen Haynes, and more.
