The Greater Philadelphia Historic Home Show: LimeWorks.us Gets In On The Action

The Greater Philadelphia Historic Home Show will take place March 9 -11 in Oaks, PA , and there’s plenty for green-minded antiquity lovers.

Among the most noteworthy is LimeWorks.us presentations on the importance of proper repairs for vintage masonry.

Andy DeGruchy, a local mason and LimeWorks.us business owner with over 30 years of masonry experience, will lead the demonstration and discussion. He’ll discuss fatal mistakes many homeowners make when attempting to repair their 18th, 19th and early 20th century homes using harmful Portland Cement.  The presentation will include some examples of local homeowners repairs.

The presentations will take place Saturday March 10th at 11am and Sunday March 11th at 2pm.

Learning how to responsibly preserve historic homes and buildings is an important ongoing process for homeowners and future homeowners alike. The Philadelphia region proudly boasts some of the oldest homes in the nation, and it’s comforting to know that companies like LimeWorks.Us are taking action to inform the community.
