Tell SEPTA What you want in their next Sustainability Plan: Open House tomorrow
It seems like getting feedback on sustainability plans is ALL the rage with city agencies these days. Philadelphia’s Office of Sustainability (or “OOS”) held an open house to discuss their next phase of Greenworks a couple weeks ago, and SEPTA is up to bat tomorrow.
SEPTA is hosting a “Sustainability Open house” tomorrow at their headquarters (1234 Market St) to chat about their second-generation plan, SEP-TAINABLE 2020.
Phase I of the sustainability plan happened in January 2011, focusing on 12 targets to be reached by 2015 around “advance the environmental, social and economic sustainability of the system and region” and became a model for collaborative sustainability planning in the transit industry. (Philly being leaders again!)
Tomorrow’s meeting will reveal results of their 2015 goals and then proposed framework for 2020, welcoming input for environmental, social and economic targets from participants.
