Talk with Judy Wicks about Climate Change
OK, our headline might be a little misleading, but it’s for a really good reason.
Judy Wicks and the Sustainable Business Network are hosting “Conversations Toward A Sustainable Philadelphia”, a series of talks “intended to move our city toward a sustainable future by inspiring thought, discussion, and local action addressing climate change and environmental justice.”
So you may not be chatting with Judy one-on-one, but these chats are NOT to miss.
Two upcoming events will allow consumers to take action, regardless of whether they’re homeowners or renters.
Steps Toward a No-Carbon House
The first event on April 5th, Steps Towards a No-Carbon House will feature a panel to walk through the steps of making our homes and businesses energy efficient, signing up for renewable electricity on our PECO accounts, and going a step further by installing solar on our rooftops. Local entrepreneur Judy Wicks will share her story of moving her home toward no-carbon, along with a panel of experts including
- Micah Gold-Markel, Solar States
- Glenn Smith, Executive Director of The Energy Co-op
- Mitchell Swann, PE, board member of the Philadelphia Energy Authority, and a Partner at MDC Systems, an engineering consulting firm.
