Philly week events: March 30 – April 2, 2015

• Meatless Monday Fun Run: Join a weekly Fun Run with Team Humane League! Meet up at Boot & Saddle, and enjoy a run in FDR park. Monday, March 30, 6:30pm, Boot & Saddle; 1131 S. Broad St; RSVP.
• Green Drinks:  It’s the first Wednesday of the month, which means it’s time to have a beer with friends in Northern Liberties, South Philly or Cherry Hill. Green Drinks, Wednesday April 1 at 6 PM, various locations.
• Nerd Nite No. 47: Star Formation! Plane Crashes! And Improv! The 47th edition of Nerd Nite Philly is all over the place with a talk by a local astronomer on early stage star formation, an expert from Boeing talking about technology improvements in aviation, and a speaker at the upcoming TEDxPenn talking about the powers of improvisation. Wednesday at 7:30pm at Frankford Hall, $5, RSVP.
• City Council Candidate Convention: Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP), in partnership with the Committee of 70 and hosted by WHYY, presents the first ever City Council Candidate Convention!This event is a one stop voter preparation experience in advance of the May 19th primary election. Each of the candidates will be at booths to answer questions, get info on voter registration & more.
