Builders of all ages are invited to the Mercer Castle to construct their very own castles using one of the greatest building materials of all time?LEGO® bricks! Visitors will enter a LEGO® Kingdom where they can explore a giant castle full of secret passageways, climb into a lookout tower, build a virtual fortress, joust on play horses and more! Sharing the Rough documents the never-before captured journey of a colored gemstone as it travels from mine to market, while also sensitively exploring the challenges and opportunities of an emerging mining economy in East Africa. The film focuses on ethics, responsibility, transparency… and looks into the lives of all of the people that are positively impacted when we purchase colored gemstones from this area.

The Trestle Inn and MIO teamed up to create WE CAN: A Pop-Up Beer Can Garden – a playful tongue-in-cheek response to the many “pop up” beer gardens which have recently proliferated around Philadelphia. Taking place during DesignPhiladelphia’s signature Pearl Street Passage, WE CAN attendees will help transform a grey slice of sidewalk on Callowhill Street into a green oasis by repurposing beer cans into hydroponic planters. Old City Fest returns on Sunday, October 11, 2015, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, along N. 3rd Street (from Market to Race) and Arch Street (from 2nd to 4th). Celebrate art and design, fashion and food, creativity and culture, music and family fun on the streets of America’s most historic square mile. Enjoy a fashion show, design showcase, live bands, circus performers, kids’ entertainment, savory and sweet bites, seasonal craft beers, handmade shopping, 100+ vendors and more.
