Philadelphia Bike Share: IBX Sponsor & New Deets!
Helllo, bike share! You’re so close.
Philadelphia made a few exciting announcements about the upcoming bike share yesterday. Most exciting, Philadelphia will be launching the bike share system in Spring 2015. It seems so long since we were live tweeting about the program in the making, right?
Independence Blue Cross will be the sponsor, providing $1.7 million a year for 5 years to assist operating the system. You’ll be able to rent bikes 24 hour per day and use cash, credit or member cards.
Michael Nutter held a press conference, debuting the newest, sexy two-wheeled transportation:
Check out these great looking bikes! Thanks so much @IBX & Mayor @Michael_Nutter for getting bike share! #rideindego pic.twitter.com/b9AhsW1CcO
