Safer streets coming to Pine and Spruce. Philadelphia Bike Action held a citywide meeting featuring invited guest, Rich Lazer, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Parking Authority. Participants discussed new safety and mobility projects like: bike lane parking enforcement, daylighting visibility at intersections, camera enforcement, and sidewalk and crosswalk parking.

Delaware City Refinery leaks toxic pollutants. A mechanical issue with a pollution control device caused an ongoing leak at the Delaware City Refinery. State officials have said that pollution levels do not pose a public health threat. Work to repair the equipment is expected to take approximately two weeks. WHYY Climate Desk

The Rounds acquired by Misfits Market. Philly startup The Rounds – a low-waste grocery delivery service – announced a recent acquisition by produce supplier, Misfits Market. Green Philly previously reported potential discrepancies on The Rounds’ sustainability claims, including the use of Amazon packaging in their warehouse. 

Eagles make a historic comeback. The Pennsylvania Bird Atlas is a five-year project cataloguing the return of eagles and ospreys to the Keystone State.
