Introducing our newest team member

Harrison Mace joins Green Philly

Green Philly is very excited to be growing and announce a new member of our team.

Since 2008, Green Philly has grown from a hobby to a media organization with a diversity of sponsorships, grants, advertising, event tickets, and reader donations – and it still has room to grow.

Google and Meta account for over 60% of digital advertising, while the news industry struggles to keep companies afloat.  LION recently launched the LION News Revenue Fellowship, in partnership with the Meta Journalism Project, to help news organizations with sustainable revenue growth.

We’re pleased to share that Harrison Mace has joined Green Philly as our Business Development Director.  Harrison’s passion for sustainability, diverse professional experiences, and knack for building meaningful relationships will contribute to the evolving ecosystem of sustainable businesses around Philadelphia and create new opportunities for Green Philly.  We’re all very excited to grow together!

Harrison is based in South Philly.  Originally from Santa Cruz, CA, his love for the coastline has evolved into a passion for all things sustainability-related: especially in Philadelphia, where he’s spent 11 of the last 12 years.  He’s connected to a number of different organizations and environmental groups in the greater Philadelphia area, ranging from Circular Philadelphia and the Reclaim Climate Justice Caucus to volunteer work with PennEnvironment and Philly Thrive.  He strives to integrate his change-making expertise with the evolving field of sustainability in Philadelphia to provide a more just future for all.  Outside of work, his interests include all things music, no-waste cooking, surfing, tea-drinking, and the principles of degrowth / post-growth living.

Please connect with him here if you have any questions or would like to get your business connected with Green Philly.

To a more sustainable city, together.
