Delaware River Festival Returns to Philly and Camden on Sept 28. The 2024 Delaware River Festival offers a variety of activities on both sides of the river at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia and Wiggins Park in Camden. Visitors can explore exhibits, enjoy live bird shows, take free pedal boat rides, and access the Independence Seaport Museum. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or carpool.

SEPTA to Launch Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Pilot Program. SEPTA plans to introduce a fleet of 10 hydrogen fuel cell buses this fall as part of a pilot program aimed at transitioning to a zero-emissions fleet by 2040. The year-long trial will assess the buses’ performance across various routes in Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs. Some environmental groups have raised concerns about the safety and environmental impact of hydrogen production. (WHYY Climate Desk)

Exelon’s Climate Change Investment Initiative Seeks Climate-Focused Startups. The Exelon Foundation is seeking startups focused on sustainability for their Climate Change Investment Initiative (2c2i). The initiative offers up to $300,000 in equity investment and in-kind support and is open to companies working in Exelon’s key markets. Applications are open until Sept 30th.
