Merchantville Community Center and Park
212 Somerset Avenue, Merchantville, NJ 08109
Join a community conversation rooted in the work of Incredible Edible Merchantville and the impact of trees on climate resilience, biodiversity, local food systems, and neighborhood identity.
Merchantville’s Maple Hub & Stockton Maple Project are setting the ground for exploring how trees shape climate resilience, food systems, neighborhood cooling, biodiversity, and community identity. Learn more about their Tiny Forest and annual reforestation efforts with their Shade Tree Commission.
Hear from recent SSJ grantee Oaklyn Shade Tree Committee about local projects, including tree plantings at Veterans Memorial Park and stewardship efforts.
Together, these projects show how community-rooted environmental action can create greener, cooler, and more connected neighborhoods across South Jersey.
Light bites & refreshments will be served
