Join the Philadelphia Water Department for Family Discovery Day on Monday, May 13 at the Discovery Center from 4-7pm! It will be an afternoon of family-friendly activities, learning, and fun centered around our 25-year Water Revitalization Plan, including a formal Community Listening Session at 6pm. This event is for all ages, so spread the word and bring your family and friends to enjoy:
• Water activities – get dressed to get wet!
• Free pretzels and water ice
• Face painting
• Dive into our Community Listening Session and join the conversation – hear how the department plans to keep our drinking water systems safe and reliable for you and your family for years to come.
• Meet-n-greet with PWD staff and engage with some of our favorite community partners doing environmental work in the City like:
– Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center
– Tookany/Tacony-Frankford (TTF) Watershed Partnership
– City of Philadelphia Office of Sustainability
– Clean Air Council
– Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards of Philadelphia County
