Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild welcomes the honey harvest for three days at three historic venues:
September 8 at Glen Foerd on the Delaware (5-9pm)
September 10 at Wyck Historic House (10am-4pm)
September 11 at Bartram’s Garden (10am-3pm)
This annual event celebrates 13 years of working to raise awareness about the importance of honey bees to the environment, our food supply and the economy, and to celebrate urban beekeeping and gardening for pollinators.
Each historic location will offer visitors free family-friendly activities on their scheduled day of the festival. The best food trucks in the city will be providing food for hungry visitors. And in addition to our traditional bee exhibits – the open hive demonstrations, honey extractions, observation hive, the ever-popular bee beard, honey tastings, mead tent and more – look for new additions in 2022.
