Natural Dye Workshop

Hosted by The Plus Swap LLC at Green Matters Natural Dye Company in Lancaster, PA. Plus size folks and friends are welcome! Learn natural dye methods including bundle dyeing, shibori techniques, indigo vat use, and other creative dye printing! The workshop will begin with tutorials on indigo dyeing, bundle dyeing, and tying techniques, followed by guided open studio time for participants to explore their creative vision with a wide variety of plant dye techniques. We call this a ‘sampler’ because we will do short basic demos on several dye techniques and facilitate the application of these techniques on your garments, fabric or yarn. This event is on 5/4/24 from 11:00am to 4:00pm. This includes up to 5 pound of personal items to dye. This is a great opportunity to freshen up favorites from your wardrobe that are made of cotton, linen, silk, wool, hemp and other natural fibers. Participants my consider dyeing fabric and yarn for creative projects. Always consider checking out the thrift store a few doors down the street from Green Matters. We are limiting the workshop to 20 participants.
