Land and water learning-no experience required! Explore the history of Philadelphia’s innovative water supply system, learn about the freshwater mussel species we are cultivating, collect water samples and learn to identify some microlife in the Schuylkill. Then lunch (BYO) and an easy hike (one mile) down the Schuylkill River Trail to the Walnut Street Dock where we will be oriented to paddling by Hidden River Outfitters and we’ll kayak on the river! $10/person
Registration is required. Ages 12+ and 12-18 year olds must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This program is made possible through a partnership between Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center and Schuylkill River Development Corporation.
