Leading free streaming television service Pluto TV will be hosting a free movie weekend at The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA this weekend (July 7-9), as part of their ongoing support of independent theaters.

This weekend only, all screenings of crowd pleaser hit films Clueless, Ghostbusters (1984), and Bridesmaids will be completely FREE — plus complimentary Pluto TV swag and popcorn. About Pluto TV’s FREE MOVIE WEEKEND: Pluto TV, the leading free streaming television service, is bringing back its theater initiative program, Free TV’s Free Movie Weekends. The initiative is designed in the theme of conducting good business karma. Priding itself on being complementary to the ecosystem, Pluto TV is setting out, once again, to help independent theaters across the U.S. by providing them with funds to host a free movie weekend. What started in the summer of 2021 as a way to give back and help independent theaters reopen after months of closure has grown as an ongoing yearly initiative. This year, Pluto TV employees nominated their hometown theater for consideration; bringing this project even closer to home. Free TV’s Free Movie Weekends runs alongside Pluto TV’s on-platform programming stunt, Popcorn Summer Movies, which brings hundreds of feature films and franchises to Pluto TV’s already stacked library of thousands of film titles. As part of its ongoing effort to celebrate love for film and support local communities, Pluto TV is kicking off the summer and partnering with 16 independent and family-run theaters. This initiative aims to encourage people to support their local theaters by providing free tickets, fun swag, and popcorn.
