Passover Workshop to Kickstart a Healthy Lifestyle

This guest post comes to us from Cassie Pena of the Jewish Farm School. During Passover we reflect on the ancient journey of the Israelite people from enslavement to freedom; the experience of passing through Mitzrayim (Egypt or a "narrow" place) towards new untold openness and expression. Our rituals during this time of year include cleaning our kitchens and homes of glutinous foods, such as bread and other chametz (foods with leavened bread). Find out more, after the jump.

Our favorite Spring day returns once again, this year! Gather your brooms, shovels & rakes! Philly Spring Cleanup Day 2014 The 7th Annual Philly Spring Cleanup Day returns on Saturday, April 5, 2014 (with the rain day on Saturday, April 12). The 2013 efforts boasted over 13,000 volunteers collecting 1,014,540 pounds of trash (and an additional 23,341 recycled goods!) across the city.
