Halloween Weekend: Best Events Oct 31 – Nov 2, 2014

Happy Halloween! The future of Philadelphia doesn't have to be as spooky as today’s holiday: Our friends around the web helped us imagine future possibilities our city can flourish. This week, we realized just how much business the PHS Pop Up Garden brought to South Street West as the space evolved over the previous 4 years. Could you imagine a pedestrian street in Market East? Or even a family-friendly Philadelphia? And the way bike commuting continues to go up, can we expect less cars on the road? Now back to reality. More importantly: what will we do this weekend?  Lucky for us, this weekend is crawling with fun! Philly Weekend Events October 31-November 2:

Spooky & Green Halloween Events: October 27 – 31st

Welp. It's Monday again. Hope you were able to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend! We explored the Schuylkill Boardwalk for a run, as you can see from this week's featured photo. Whether you scored a free Uber-X ride pre-sting opp or are still contemplating better names than SEPTA's new Key smart card payment system, it's time to start focusing on the important stuff. Girl Power: Weekend Guide 10/17 – 10/19

Happy Friday! Don't get us wrong: we love men 'round here, but are still totally amped from yesterday's Pennsylvania's Conference For Women. From Robin Roberts reminding us we've all got something, to Candy Chang's transformation of neighborhoods with chalk & side of a building, to Diane Keaton's questioning of Billy Pitt, that poet on top of City Hall (and holllerrr - our logo figure) - it was an inspiring day to be in Philadelphia and a woman.

Get Your Runner’s High On: Weekend Events 10/10- 10/12

Happy Friday! This week, we learned from Next City that New York has a StreetsPAC for more pedestrian & biking friendly cities. Perhaps Philly can follow suite? Thanks to Be Well Philly for confirming our Runner's High and Hidden City Philadelphia for taking us to an underground 4-million gallon sewage & storage tank. And obviously, Generocity's piece about chickens from Nic Esposito made us rethink our compost bins (but not really...) Find out what to do over the weekend, after the jump!
