This post continues our Animal Conservation Week, to highlight animals in danger & steps you can take to help! As we continue Shark Week, shark preservation highlights another problem we're facing in the ocean: Overfishing. 70% of the world's fisheries are fully or overly exploited, depleted or in a state of collapse. That's a scary statistic since previously 'common' fish like Bluefin tuna & Atlantic salmon are severely overfished and (learn more, after the jump!)

Obama Visits Bucks County to Talk Energy

Obama swung by a wind-turbine Plant to talk about Energy, reducing US oil imports and getting clean Energy on Wednesday afternoon. This coincides with Obama's announcement for re-election. Glaxo would move all its employees either at One & Three Franklin Plaza Center city locations to south Philly in late 2012/early 2013. I definitely commend any company who wants to become green and up its efficiency. The eco-friendly design should (find out more, after the jump!)

Lion Meat Controversy in Arizona, Philly & the World

Our friends at Phillyist highlighted a Grub Street post about a controversy over lion tacos in Arizona and a similar proposition recently in Philly. This scandal of putting lion on the menu ended a chef's meeting his end (pun intended) at South Philly Tap Room. Somehow, I missed this controversy back in September 2008, but started researching how this debacle even happened. Right around the World Cup this year, an Arizona Chef attempted selling lion burgers from a "free-range farm" in Illinois. However, CNN Money & other big wigs decided to investigate (find out more, after the jump!)
