Introducing the Spring GPB Interns

Philly Isaiah Zagar
We’re embracing creativity just like Isaiah Zagar!

We’re interrupting our normal broadcasting to take a moment to introduce a new faces around here.

We have a few interns this Spring that are writing, social media-ing and making Green Philly Blog more fun for you.

Let’s learn more about them!

Julia Knable

Julia

Hello GPB readers! My name is Julia Knable and I’m a sophomore at Temple University studying Marketing in the Fox School.  A summer internship at Terracycle last year inspired me to learn as much as I could about what I could personally do to help and protect our ever-changing planet.  In these coming months, my plan is to educate myself about our wonderful city and how to do our part for a “green” culture, while keeping you entertained and informed.
Along with a passion for sustainability and environment, you can find me in my red polo and khakis giving tours of Temple University, on the court of a basketball game working as a athletic marketing assistant or taking a long run down Kelly drive.
Andrew Phillips
Andrew Phillips

Hi Green Philly Blog readers! My name is Andrew Phillips, and I’m currently a student in the Master’s of Social Work program at Temple University. Also, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Susquehanna University in creative writing, since writing is a life-long passion of mine.  It is my goal to use my writing skills and my educational background to shed light on the social and environmental issues that impact the people of Philadelphia.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me.

Erin Cooper
erin cooper

Hi guys! My name is Erin Cooper and I’m from Somerville NJ (so yes, I have plenty of Jersey pride). I’m also currently a freshman at Saint Joseph’s University studying Communications.

I first sparked an interest in sustainability in 6th grade, when my teacher had us do a project on recycling. Ever since then, I’ve looked into greener ways to live. (I like to see clean beaches and parks when I hike and swim.)

In my spare time, I enjoy watching House of Cards, reading Percy Jackson and exploring Philadelphia. One of my favorite aspects of Philly is the amazing history and how many more stories we can create for generations to come. As a current resident of this city, I want to do as much as I can to keep it beautiful.

You’ll get along with me if you like Beyonce, Greek mythology, Jimmy Fallon, traveling, movies, writing, and having a good time. I look forward to the adventures I have ahead here!
