Philly Bike Expo 2013 is this Weekend!

philly bike expo 2013Who’s ready to talk, gawk and love all things bike?

Good news, readers. The Philly Bike Expo 2013 returns this weekend!

The Philly Bike Expo 2013

This year’s Philly Bike Expo 2013 is November 9-10 at the PA Convention Center (1101 Arch Street). The expo is “celebration of cycling. In 2010, Bilenky Cycle Works aspired to broaden their reach and promote cycling culture” according to the website. It’s best to come via bike, since there is Indoor Bike Parking at this event. Seriously.

For the 4th year in a row, discover the fun, function, fitness and freedom of 2 wheels (over 4). Bikers – commuters or recreational – will meet companies and organizations that help the biking lifestyle. Fun raffles are possible like bike seats, jerseys, bike tours, bike tune-ups and more.

For those who want some more pizzazz, the Bike Expo also includes gems like the Bicycle Fashion Show, a film screening of “Where Are You Go” (a full length film about an African Bicycle Tour), book signings, yoga for cyclists and vintage bike galleries.

Bike Seminars include topics for women (including a panel with Katie Monroe of the Bicycle Coalition), tandems 101, mountain biking, pro racing, Schwinn and more.

If You Go:

The Philly Bike Expo is at the PA Convention Center at the Broad & Race Streets Entrance. Doors are open Saturday from 10 AM – 6 PM and Sunday from 10 AM – 5 PM.  Day passes start at $8 or $12 with seminars.
