Don’t leave trees on your curb – they will become trash instead of a second life since they’re biodegradable.
Make sure your tree is untied and free of decorations and lights. Trees with ornaments or tinsel cannot be recycled.

The City of Philadelphia’s annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program is a sustainable way to give live trees another purpose. The program runs from Monday, January 6, through Saturday, January 18, providing residents with several convenient drop-off options.
Drop off your tree at any of the six Sanitation Convenience Centers, open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
Additionally, 13 designated drop-off locations will be open on Saturday, January 11, and Saturday, January 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
