Can I Recycle Plastic Clamshell Containers?

Happy Hump Day! Or as we call it, Where Can I Wednesday.

Another recycling dilemma: can you recycle those clamshell containers you get from (non-Whole Foods) salad bars?

According to City of Philadelphia Recycling Director Phil Bresee, yes!

“As long as they’re clean and not made of #6 plastic foam (expanded polystyrene, or EPS),” says Bresee.

There you have it. Another win for the recycling bin!
