The 2nd annual Philly Farm & Food Fest at the PA Convention Center (Annex – Broad Street entrance) will be inviting local foodies from 11AM to 4 PM with food samples, 4 cooking demonstrations, 8 workshops & presentations, kids activities and much more. Over 117 farms, food artisans & businesses will sample, sell & share their stories of locavore perfection. Don’t believe me? Exhibitors include a variety from GMO Free PA, Greensgrow Phila, Happy Cat Farms, John & Kira’s, CSAs, FreshaPeel Hummus, Mompops, Yellow Springs Farm, Capogiro, and my favorite Dad’s Hat Rye Whiskey.
Although we had so much fun at last year’s event, this year may top it with its new features. The Local Libations Lounge will sample 5 hand-selected premium PA spirits like Rye Whiskey, Gin, Asian Pear Dessert Wine & Victory Craft beer. Judy Wicks will be signing & selling copies of her new book, Good Morning, Beautiful Business. Philly CowShare will be hosting a one day sale of 100% grass-fed and local beef & pork.
Tickets are only $15 until Friday at midnight ($20 at door), but we’re giving away a FREE pair of tickets to one lucky reader!
To win a FREE Philly pair of Farm & Food Fest tickets: Like us on Facebook and tell us what your favorite local food is in our comment section below this post. (If you are already our Facebook fan, just say so in the comments.) We will pick one lucky winner Friday morning (April 12th) so everyone else still has time to purchase the discounted tickets.
