Riverfront North Partnership named Champion in Action

Citizens recognition for Supporting Environmental Sustainability includes $35K award

Local nonprofit Riverfront North Partnership (RNP) was named a 2023 Champion in Action® in the category of Supporting Environmental Sustainability by Citizens. It also will receive a $35K grant

“By connecting neighborhoods to nature and preserving the Delaware River landscape, RNP is helping to reduce erosion and stormwater pollution, while increasing the public spaces for residents to enjoy,” said Dan Fitzpatrick, President, Mid-Atlantic Region, Citizens.

Nonprofit Riverfront North has a mission to connect Philadelphia neighborhoods to nature, with a large focus on the Delaware River. They offer over 200 free outdoor programs each year, including ?shing, archery, nature walks, movie nights, volunteer clean-ups, and tree plantings.
