DESCRIPTION:Philly Goat Project’s 8th annual Christmas Tree-Cycle Festivals! \nThree events for you to attend:\nSat\, Jan 10th 12-3pm (rain date Jan 11th) – The Farm at Awbury Arboretum\nSat\, Jan 17th 12-3pm (no rain date) – Laurel Hill West Cemetery Conservatory\nSat\, Jan 24th 12-3pm (rain date Jan 25th) – The Farm at Awbury Arboretum \nThese family-friendly events bring together sustainability\, community\, and plenty of fun all in support of our nonprofit. \nThere is a $20 donation requested per Christmas tree. These donations support Philly Goat Project’s free year-round programming\, including community goat walks\, children’s literacy events in libraries & schools\, environmental education events throughout city parks\, youth job training programs\, animal-assisted therapy events\, and bereavement programming. \n\nDonated Christmas trees provide delicious snacks for the goats and what they don’t eat is turned into wood chips for trails in city parks and community gardens thanks to a partnership with the Philadelphia Sanitation Department. \nNew this year\, Philly Goat Project is partnering with Solar States\, a certified B-Corp with a dual mission to expand access to solar energy and educate the next generation of clean-energy workers. Through this partnership\, Solar States will cover the $20 donation of anyone who completes a solar consultation before the Tree-Cycle event they wish to attend. Interested participants can request a free solar quote at https://go.solar-states.com/goats/. Once the consultation is completed\, they will receive a voucher to present at the time of the tree donation. If they choose to move forward with Solar States services\, they’ll receive $400 off their installation and Solar States will donate an additional $400 to Philly Goat Project. Solar States and Philly Goat Project first connected as fellow recipients of the Community Capacity Grant\, bonding over their shared commitment to sustainability and job skills training programs. \nEnjoy an afternoon packed with activities:\nExplore the farm\nFree s’mores + hot cocoa\nGames for all ages\nGoat petting zone\nQuiet visiting area: a calm space for guests with special needs\nGoat photobooth\nVisit PGP’s Grief Garden and Storybook Walk (at Awbury)\nPhilly Goat Project swag table featuring our famous 2026 goat calendar\, 250 Years of History…with GOATS! \nEveryone is welcome to join the festivities even without a tree! \nDecorations should be removed from trees before donating \nTree Drop-Off Options for the Awbury Arboretum:\n1. Express Curbside Drop-Off: Quick tree drop at 6336 Ardleigh St entrance.\n2. “G.O.A.T. Safari:” Drive through the farm to drop off your tree.
