Where to Recycle Propane Tanks in Philly

Now that Summer’s almost over (tear), it’s close to time where we put away the grills and welcome in the cooler temperatures.

But what can you do about those empty propane tanks from your last BBQ? Our friend from United by Blue, Jen, asked us via Twitter:

As the Streets Department mentioned, Philadelphia Household Hazardous Waste events accept propane tanks up to 20 pounds.

2015 Philadelphia Hazardous Waste Events:

  • September 29th – 22nd / York Street
  • October 10th – 3033 S 63rd Street
  • November 7th – 3901 Delaware Avenue
