Can you recycle salad bags in Philadelphia?

So it’s a little more difficult to get local produce in the winter months when many farmers market are on hold until the Spring.

Are those plastic bags for salads and mixed greens recyclable?

The simple answer is no.

Regardless, it’s better to stick with less packaging to begin with. Purchasing greens sans bag in the produce aisle is a way better idea than pre-packed. Plus, between health risks, more water and less nutrients, it’s best to step away from packaged kale stat.
