Where Can I Recycle Denim?

Jeans are a well-loved wardrobe staple. But what happens when your jeans get to a point of no return?

But when it comes to recycling denim, what do you do? This sounds like another big question for Where Can I Wednesday.

Where can I recycle denim?

First and foremost, it’s great to donate used denim (in good condition) to thrift stores or for people in need. For an entire list, browse our where to donate used clothes post.

  • Recycle used Jeans at Madewell. Recycle worn denim to Madewell before December 31st and receive $20 for a new pair of jeans. Local stores: Center City (1716 Walnut Street, Philadelphia); Suburban Square (95 Coulter Ave, Ardmore) and King of Prussia (160 N Gulph Road, KOP).  Find the closest store to you on Madewell’s website.
  • Recycle used denim to Levi’s. Find the nearest store to you online.
  • Blue Jeans Go Green has guidelines to host denim drives. You can also mail your jeans to: Blue Jeans Go Green, Denim Recycling Program, 431 North 47th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85043.
