Are soda & drink bottle caps recyclable?

Bottle caps.

Technically, the city says that plastic is recyclable. but are the caps for soda or water bottles?

Can you recycle soda bottle caps in Philadelphia?

Yes. But here’s the catch: you need to make sure they’re still attached to the bottle when you recycle them. On their own, they’re too small and will likely fall through the screens at the Material Recovery Facility (aka MRF), according to the City of Philadelphia’s Recycling Director Phil Bresee.

Which brings us to another recycling PSA: Please empty your bottles of liquid before recycling!
