Greenbuild 2013 DVGBC Events

Greenbuild, the world’s largest green building conference is coming to Philly next week!

The Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVGBC) is hosting a few events that you can attend to celebrate green buildings in our city!

DVGBC’s Greenbuild Philadelphia 2013 Events:

  • DVGBC’s 2013 Challenge Pledge program exhibit has an interactive display and make your own pledge at Independence Visitors Center at 6th and Market. With over 150 pledges so far, the exhibit will run until February. DVGBC is psyched about the exposure that these organizations are going to get for their commitment to sustainability.
  • Registration for Greenbuild tours is open, and you do not have to attend the conference to sign up for a tour. Tours are occurring on Monday the 18th, Fridaythe 22nd, and Saturday the 23rd. They are selling out fast, so we are encouraging folks to sign up as quickly as possible. There are over 180 sites being featured on 32 tours, and the sites include: higher education, K-12 schools, affordable housing, urban and suburban corporate buildings, commercial, residential, manufacturing, and more, and they all have a sustainable focus.
  • The “Green Brews & Local Fare” end-of-Greenbuild celebration at Yards Brewing on Friday the 22nd from 7:30 to 10:30. It’s unlimited beer and dinner (the menu is a locally sourced, beer-centric dinner!). It’s $55, but students with student ID are only $25. It’s going to be a ton of fun and a chance to relax and close out the week by catching up with the DVGBC staff and volunteers (plus, unlimited Yards beer). Yum yum, glug glug.
