Get Outside & Camping with the Outdoor Discovery Day Tomorrow!

Looking to get outside this summer? Who doesn’t love camping, hiking, beaching and water sports?!

Outdoor Discovery Day is tomorrow,  Saturday, July 13 from 11 AM – 3 PM at Pleasant Hill Park. Plus, they have a ginormous “bootmobile” in tow, which is instagram-worthy alone. LL Bean is hosting the Outdoor Discovery Day as part of a summer-long effort to inspire families to spend more time outdoors and try a new outdoor activity.

What does this day to L.L.Bean Outdoor Discovery Day include? Activities like:

  • Try a New Outdoor Activity: Experts from the L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery Schools® & Philadelphia Parks & Recreation will teach fundamentals of fly casting, fishing, geocaching, lawn games, camping basics, and lots more.
  • Local Outdoor Resources to use your new skills: Outdoor activity books for kids will be on-hand for kids, as well as guides to local outdoor resources and activities in the Philadelphia area.  Share your outdoor tips & suggestions by posting to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram using #OutdoorDiscovery.
  • Win Great Gear –Giveaways including a hiking, camping or beach gear prize package.
  • Try out the App – L.L.Bean’s ParkFinder app, helps you find thousands of national, state and local parks and public lands for everything from picnicking to hanging out with nature.
