How can you spend a day out shopping with friends without breaking the bank? We’ve got the solution: consignment shops!

Recently, one of my fav hobbies is checking out the different consignment shops Philly has to offer. I’ve been super impressed with what I’ve found: You can find nearly anything from purses to shoes to jeans, at a discount and in great condition.
Here are my favorite Philly consignment shops:
The Attic – These guys have a great selection of everything as they carry clothes, shoes, accessories, purses, and more – online and off. Plus, if you consign your clothes here beforehand you can get 55% of the clothes value as store credit for cheaper finds! Located at 4355 Main Street.
Greene Street – If you’re looking for something a bit more upscale, Greene Street is a great place to shop! Unlike other consignment shops, their different locations means a store must be close to you. If you’re looking to consign your clothes, they give you a larger percentage than most other places at 40%. Find locations here.

Philly AIDS Thrift – Philly AIDS is unique since it’s a non-profit and volunteer-run, donating 100% of profits to organizations that fight against HIV/AIDS. You can find everything here: furniture, clothes, shoes, books, DVDs, posters, etc. Plus, prices are dirt cheap and they’re almost always having a sale! Located at 710 S. 5th Street.
Buffalo Exchange – Super popular with the twenty-something crowd, Buffalo Exchange offers an equally large selection for both men and women. If you’re cleaning out the closet, receive cash for clothes on the spot. Make sure you bring your own bag though or buy a reusable one at the register! Located at 1713 Chestnut Street.
Second Time Around – If you’re looking for designer clothes and upscale items at an affordable price, Second Time Around is the place to go. Their under $20 sale room is perfect for those who are watching their wallets, so there really is something for everyone! Consign here easy either online or off and you may receive up to 50% of the final sell price on certain items. Located at 1728 Chestnut Street.
Once Worn Consignment – This shop is great with both recent and vintage fashions at every imaginable price level. They only carry items that are in season – so if you’re consigning, be careful of what you bring. Located at 906 N. 2nd Street.
The Wardrobe Boutique – Women in Philly looking for professional, work appropriate outfits, this is the place to go. The Wardrobe Boutique is an initiative of Career Wardrobe, with volunteer opportunities in addition to donation options. The majority of clothes are in the very high end. Located at 19th and Spring Garden Street.
