Flash talks from experts helped us relieve stress and consider mindfulness.

Need a de-stressor in these cooler temperatures?

Our Winter Wellness attendees heard experts give a five-minute talks on ways to reconnect with nature, improve mental and physical health, and de-stress during the winter months.

The featured speakers were:

  • Anisa George- Wild Philadelphia
  • Rebecca Goldschmidt- The Random Tea Room
  • Carlee Myers- The Stress Less Company
  • Beth Ferracone- Herbology

Anisa George from Wild Philadelphia led an indoor “nature escape” and gave tips on forest therapy.

Rebecca Goldschmidt from The Random Tea Room discussed the benefits of teas and herbs in improving your well-being.

Carlee Meyers from the Stress Less Company shared a personal journey about trauma, and the positive (and not-so-helpful) advice that was given to her along the way. She gave tips about managing stress and stepping out of overwhelm.

Beth Ferracone from Herbology educated the audience on medical marijuana and the healing powers of cannabis.

Melissa Molter

Melissa is majoring in Communications and Public Relations and minoring in Psychology at Villanova University. She is a marketing/event planning intern at Green Philly, but when she is not working, her favorite pastimes are performing with her A Cappella group or watching college basketball!
